Post by slayer22 »

hi, i'm currently building another computer.I've bought about 2/3's of my parts.I've bought the p180 but not sure should i exchange it and get the sonata. THey both look very stylish and attractive (from my point of view that is). I was wondering which case would you guys prefer(always good to get second opinions). Thanks =D

Did you buy a PSU already? As the Sonata comes with one.
What other parts are going in this rig?
What's your main goal, a quiet PC, quiet with loads of HDD's etc. as the P180 can take more drives.
The P180 can also be modded, as Dan can testify ;)
The P180 is aso lot bigger than the Sonata.

I have an Antec Sonata II on my other system and built one for my Mom as well. Nice looking case, rubber grommet insulated drive bays (quiet) but never could find a use for the internal cooling duct work. I recommend it.

well i have the p182 case myself and its a nice case.. i leave the door open all the time for air flow though... kinda ruins part of the silence abilty.. but with your specs it might be fine with door closed

Well if you are wanting cool and quiet then the P180 is the way to go.

The P180 also has 2 removable washable air filters, and they are easier to get at than the sonata's, which will be a really plus, as they get thick with dust after barely a month of (somewhat heavy) use.
