SATA DVD Burner on Intel/Marvell Controller

Does anyone have their SATA optical drive on either the Intel or Marvell? And anyone on AHCI?

See the thread on the Marvell problems. The Marvell has many issues and I don't trust it, as of bios 2802. The Intel controller works great. I added SATA PCI card to replace the Marvell junk.
