Have 7950gt graphics card, should I upgrade?

Post by vbironchef »

I would like to start to use my graphics card to fold, I think that it is out of date. Please let me know of the best graphics card out there for folding.

Yeah, you need a 8000 series and up card for folding.

Depends how serious you are about folding with it as to what card to get.

The 280GTX has the best folding performance, but with it comes the high cost of buying it.

So the best thing is to set a budget and buy the fastest nvidia card for that price.

I have not made up my mind yet. Amd/ati I still think they have something up. I forget what the number is but it looks good. I think it's r700? not sure. I think I will wait to sort all things out. What do you think? I'm sure prices will go down, don't you think?

I'm stuck with the 7950GT too :P

But I don't know what to get either, to be honest though, I find that I haven't really played a game in a long time, so it's not so urgent for gameplay wise.
