230' X 70' screen!

Post by KnightRid »

230' X 70' screen was just shown on the Olympic opening ceremonies..OMG!! I want one :)

These opening ceremonies are just unbelievable so far. 2008 drummers - and the lights go out and makes it look frickin cool!!!

Since the stupid networks are showing my Steelers in SD rather than HD, I figured the Olympics loks better anyway ;)

That opening ceremonies were very kewl. I personally enjoyed the Thai Chi demo. It was just amazing how they could maintain the circles like they did with no marks on the floor. I'm waitin for that screen to go on sale at newegg.

They expanded it ti over 500' at the one point in the show!

Those drummers kicked ass for me!

With all the money China spent, I guess it should be good. Wonder if those performers got paid or if they basically told the mto perform or die.

Mike

Those circles were cool for the Thai Chi people! That overhead screen around the building was awesome too.

Kinda sad they are going to use it for a soccer stadium after the Olympics...soccer of all things. I know it is popular elsewhere in the world, but DAMN, you could use it for the red army to squash those pesky rebels or something, anything but. bleck, soccer.

I watched part of it, got about 10min in to the athletes walking in and seen there was couple hours left, said screw it and went to bed LOL

hope they show the US shooting team skeet/trap on TV, they have a hottie (Corey Cogdell) on the womens team. She's a hell of a shot and VERY easy to look at

My understanding is that all of the "performers" actually volunteered. I know in Asian countries it is considered an honor to just be included in such events. The unveiling of the LED screen and the "boxes" spectacle just blew me away. As did the transition of the Olympic rings from the floor to being suspended in air. Absolutely amazing.

Never said they weren't crazy ;)

Just boring. Kinda like watching field hockey...you hope for someone to get smacked in the face, but you just cant bring yourself to watch the running up and down the field for 30 minutes to get that 1 good shot.

Mike

My brothers played soccer =D> Still boring :p
