Fast mobile processor with low working temperature

Post by mccode »

Hello,

I have a Question: My desktop computer runs with a Intel E8400 CPU. This CPU is very impressive. It's very fast and the temperature is very low. The thermal specification is by 72.4°C. :P

Now I'm looking for a mobile processor for my new notebook. But the thermal specification for a T8100 is more than 100°C. Is there any mobile processor with the same working temperature as the E8400 CPU?
What technology do I have to look for this requirement?

I'm not a processor expert.

Thanks.

That 100C is just some kind of reference point to calculate the CPU's real temperature and mobile stuff is always rated to run at higher temps than desktop counterparts. The T8000 and T9000 series are the latest mobile 45nm processors, so they run cool and all!

mobile processors for the most part run as hot as there desktop counterparts, but at a much much lower voltage.
