ATI Radeon X1500 Cloning question

Post by Gaba_p »

Hi,
well I have an ATI Radeon X1500 and my problem is this: when I clon my desktop to my TV, it shows in the TV with the desktop resolution (1280x1024) and it's too big (the desktop doesn't fit the screen) I need to set the TV resolution to 800x600 but keeping my desktop resolution to 1280x1024. I know it must be possible since my old NVIDIA could do it without problems. Any ideas will be welcomed.
Cheers,
Gabriel

I've had a look in the catalyst control center for my ATI card, and the only way I can see to do it and keep your normal desktop resolution is to extend the display rather than clone it.
