Here is a quick note to let you know that Badaboom is available for purchase from today for $29.99 USD from NVIDIA and Elemental Technologies websites. A trial version will also be available for download. Badaboom begins a trend of leveraging CUDA Technology to enable NVIDIA GPUs for mainstream consumer applications far beyond gaming.
The Badaboom Media Converter is a simple to use tool for media conversion perfect for consumers. Anyone can now painlessly convert video between formats and for a variety of devices, leaving more time to enjoy the video and eliminating the frustration of video conversion delays. Badaboom’s high quality H.264 video encoder and 2-channel stereo audio output are specifically targeted to modern portable media devices such as the Apple iPod/iPhone line, Sony Playstation Portable, and many more.
Badaboom is an easy to use media converter that takes a fundamentally different approach to video format conversion from other solutions. Instead of performing format conversion on the CPU, it harnesses massively parallel processing GPUs from NVIDIA. By using the power of programmable “off-the-shelf” graphics processing units (GPUs), the time required for video conversion is reduced dramatically. In addition, you can still use the CPU for normal everyday tasks such as email and internet browsing while transcoding video.
Badaboom is compatible with all CUDA enabled NVIDIA GPUs. For a list of these GPUs, please visit the NVIDIA site here: http://nvidia.com/objects/cuda_learn_products.html

Did they fix the issues of blurriness from the best releases? The clips I've seen that were converted using badaboom weren't as clear as using a traditional encoding method. Any feedback on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Badaboom Media Converter, It's done!
Yep, how are the configuration options and video quality? Encoding speed is fairly useless if the video quality sucks.

Agreed. Hopefully someone can fill us in how the retail copy is functioning.hnzw_rui wrote:Yep, how are the configuration options and video quality? Encoding speed is fairly useless if the video quality sucks.
