Should be titled "Paramount charges a premium for USB flash drives because there is crap already on the drive that you can find online for free"

WRONG!
First, what's so exciting about the rectangular plastic USB drives that most companies are selling? Frankly, i think most USB drives are really boring designs. This actually looks like a cool product based on a really awesome movie.

If you want to talk about huge premiums you should look at the Sandisk and Lexar drives at any big retail store. It's hard to believe they still sell (boring rectangular plastic) 1GB drives for $25.

Do you realize every time you buy an SD card you pay a royalty? That 6% doesn't seem to bother anybody.

I applaud any company that dares to do something unique like this. I'll buy one!

Well you go ahead and waste your money then.

The reason that USB sticks look boring is because anyone that has a clue will be buying USB sticks for specs/cost not looks. They're meant to be something for moving data about, not something pretty you put on display.

The godfather might be a good film, but it's not worth paying extra for the exact same device that just has some pictures on it. Odds are all they'll do different to the stick is slap a godfather logo on it.

I don't mind the 6% fee if the 1GB card costs less than $4.00. I agree with Dan, it's all about cost and value for the money. If you are a Godfather collector, you might be interested in paying a premium, but for those of us who are only concerned about moving data quickly and securely, then give me a USB or SD that saves me money no matter how 'boring' it might be - it's only going to sit in my bag or pocket anyway.
Just a little puppy trying to make it in a big digital world.

i dont mind the 6% fee at all. ive gotten 2gb sticks for 2.49 each. thats more storage in something about the size of my knuckle that can hold more than my first computer, not to mention it cost thousands less.

At first I thought the USB stick was going to contain the full length movie... that would be cool!!

But when I read the PR and saw that it was only some pictures and quotes.... that just seems silly to me.
