XP/Vista Dual boot

Post by unfaithfulsfan »

This might be a stupid question but , hey, look at the source!!!

I accidentally, in my narcotic-driven stupor (legal pain meds, BTW), blew away my XP install when I reinstalled Vista Ultimate 64. I (and especially my wife) would like to have a dual boot with XP. I'm guessing that file sharing is out of the question? given the 64 v 32 bit OSs, but how could I set this up without foobaring my current Vista install? I have a separate hdd I can use for the XP install.

Thanks
Jack

I used the above guide for a single drive dual boot install (actually, I had XP first). Worked like a charm for me. I don't have any links for a dual drive dual boot, sorry.

for dual drive dual boots getting a cheap hotswap enclosure is easiest (like one of those that fits in a 5.25" bay)

Thanks for the responses. I gather you all at least have separate partitions for XP and Vista, correct?
