AMD Phenom II X3 705e and Phenom II X4 905e Processors
Back in June 2009, AMD silently launched a pair of energy efficient 65W TDP processors that didn't get that much attention from the press for some reason. Those two socket AM3 processors are called the AMD Phenom II X3 705e and Phenom II X4 905e. Read on to see how they perform!
Legit Bottom Line: The AMD Phenom II X4 905e and Phenom II X3 705e are killer low efficiency processors
Meant "highly power-efficient" or something similar?
Good review, its good to read up on the newer AMD chips as we're switching to only selling AMD/ATI at the shop I work at!

A bit overpriced for a locked core. If they are the same price as a black edition, just buy a black and down clock it to the power consumption/heat level you want it to be!!
Well AMD sort of shot themselves in the foot by releasing so many Black Edition processors. Fun little chips though for a daily rig, might need to pick up one or two to play with.

I'll say this, they're really meant for capable motherboards... mine is very underwhelming with the board I bought. Planning a migration to AM3 within a few months if I can swing it though.

How so underwhelming??
Responsiveness, but its really because my 940BE has a slower hyper transport speed than some other Phenom II cpus, but I was used to having a C2D with a FSB of 1333. I've hit 3.9 GHz with my chip, but I know I could go further with a more adequate motherboard
