ASUS has engineered the UL series to offer class-leading battery life of up to 12 hours* by combining low-voltage hardware with exclusive ASUS software. Called Power4Gear, this ASUS technology allows for intelligent switching of power states with the touch of a button, allowing the user to easily go from High Performance mode to Battery Saving mode instantly. Users can also easily customize and configure each power state independently, giving them full control over the system’s performance at all times.
ASUS GraphiX Boost Technology
While some notebooks use low-power integrated graphics to extend battery life and others use more powerful discrete graphics to deliver an immersive visual experience, the UL series features both to give users the best of both worlds depending on their computing needs. Called ASUS GraphiX Boost technology, it gives users the ability to toggle between the two modes on demand - integrated Intel graphics for maximum power savings or the ASUS Discrete Graphics Engine (DGE) powered by an NVIDIA GeForce 210M graphics card with 512MB dedicated video memory for maximum graphics performance. Users can switch between the two cards with the system running, with no reboots required.
