LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)-- Jan 04, 2010 FlyCast, the popular mobile broadcasting service, today introduced a version of its FlyCast app for Motorola’s Droid phone which features the ability to “time-shift” radio broadcasts. With FlyCast for Droid, users can pause, rewind and fast forward content from more than 2000 radio stations on the device. The new application will be generally available in February 2010, as a free download.

FlyCast for Droid sports an entirely new user interface that offers more convenient selection of favorite channels while also making it easier to find interesting content in FlyCast's collection of music, sports, talk and on-demand video. The "FlyBack" feature allows users to pause and even rewind shows as they are being broadcast.

“Consumers are increasingly accessing and interacting with content in new ways and the Android platform is helping to facilitate these new behaviors,” said David Kennedy, FlyCast CEO. “FlyCast for Droid offers users the ability to control live broadcasts and interact with the media they choose, on their own terms.”

Availability

FlyCast for Droid will be available on January 7, 2010 as a free beta download from the Android Market (http://www.android.com/market/).

Extensive Channel Line-up

FlyCast now has over 2000 channels of content in the network, including local radio stations, news, talk, sports, weather, traffic and all genres of music. Partners include FOX News, Entercom, AccuRadio, Bonneville International, Bryan Broadcasting, Crawford Broadcasting, the Cromwell Radio Group, the Genesis Communication Network, KGOW Communications, KFMB, Midwest Television, Sandusky Radio Seattle, .977 Music, 1.FM, 1Club, Sky.FM, Digitally Imported, RadioIO, LA Talk, Radio Paradise, Martini in the Morning, FuzeBox Media, Jelly, Radio, Liberty News Radio, Blog Talk Radio, SmoothJazz.com, The Score and Comedy104. The company also offers “White Label” and DirectLink products for content owners seeking to stream media over mobile, including bands, sports franchises, universities and athletes.
