Can I disable popup msg when USB drive plugged in W7/Vis?

Post by crowTrobot »

Anyone know how to disable that message "scan and fix, or continue without scanning" message that pop ups everytime you plugin a USB drive in Vista or Windows 7?

I have to plug and unplug my ipod and several thumbdrives throughout the day and it's really annoying.

Thank you in advance.

Eject the drives before you unplug them. :-p

I actually don't know of any other way to stop that popping up.

Yup, going from older machine to new machine it will happen. Win7 and Vista will see there wasn't a clean separation from the last Old machine it was on. Until you either do the "Fix" or plug into the old a machine and do the "safely remove hardware" It will keep asking until you fix what its seeing.
