laser portable projector

Who has experience in these? I'm somewhat a technology guy but gadgets are something I haven't been able to afford in awhile. I just came across this and my taxes are done, so a new toy should be in order. I'm thinking that the aaxa l1 laser portable projector looks pretty darn sweet but there are models that are cheaper (and less awesome).

My question is, is the $600 price tag worth the auto-focus, better colors, cooler unit? Or should I just go with something else in the $300 price range and buy something else that is cool?

yeah I saw that this morning on engadget and it looks pretty amazing... If you have the budget to buy and try out new tech like that it should be a good time!

It's cool, but at 20lumens, the places you'll be able to use it are going to be pretty limited.

Not worth the $600 imo.

I'm thinking about getting one of these. However I have the AAXA M1 which is 66 lumens, and even with 66 lumens it's not nearly as bright as my HT projector (obviously).
