The countdown has begun for the ASUS online overclocking championship, based on Intel Socket 1156 systems*. The championship runs for eight weeks and consists of several different competitions and weekly winners. Competitors accrue points based on their weekly rankings and the one with the highest score at the end of the championship will be crowned the ASUS 1156 Overclocking Champion.
In addition to the overall champion and weekly winners, individual country championships are also a pat of the championship finale. Country champions will be the competitors with the highest scores for their respective countries (valid only in participating countries).
Everyone can take part!
All gamers, overclockers and power-users with ASUS motherboards can take part (an Intel Socket 1156-based is not required) and compete for the title of ASUS 1156 Champion. There are eight different weekly competitions and the winner of each can win great ASUS products, including motherboards, ASUS notebooks, Eee PCs, EeeBox PCs and a host of other products. Non-competitors can even enter to take part in a weekly prize draw too.
How to enter?
To qualify for entry into the ASUS 1156 OVERCLOCKING CHAMPIONSHIP, you must use a PC with an ASUS motherboard. For 3DMark-based benchmarks, systems must use an ASUS motherboard and graphics card. Full details can be found at www.asus1156.com.
Prizes:
Prize draw winners
Anyone with an ASUS-powered PC can enter the weekly prize draw to win ASUS prizes.
Weekly winners
Each week of the championship features prizes for the competitors with the highest and second-highest scores that week (only one prize per entrant).
Country winners
At the end of the eight-week championship, the competitors with the highest total score in their respective countries will be crowned Country Champion.
Participating countries: TURKEY, IRAN, UAE, EGYPT, SOUTH AFRICA, and AUSTRALIA
Overall championship winner
The competitor with the most points at the end of the eight-week competition will be crowned the ASUS 1156 Overclocking Champion.
