Dell KACE Drives Customer Adoption Of Simplified Client Systems Management Solutions
Date : 3/1/2011
Round Rock, Texas

* Dell KACE accelerates growth by 147 percent in past 12 months
* More than 1,200 new customers and 108 new certified channel partners find value in KACE family of systems management appliances, since acquisition by Dell

Dell KACE today announced strong customer success and rapid growth in its first year following its acquisition by Dell. As part of Dell’s corporate growth strategy, Dell KACE is good example of how the company is investing in new businesses and technologies to help customer solve enterprise pain points. In this instance, Dell KACE helps customers simplify client IT management while driving down overall IT costs.

Every day, Dell KACE adds more than five new customers worldwide, making it among the industry’s fastest growing systems management vendors. In the past year, Dell KACE has grown 147 percent and added more than 1,200 customers and 108 new certified channel partners. Dell KACE was also recognized as a “Visionary” in Gartner’s 2010 PC Configuration Lifecycle Management Magic Quadrant1.

As customers look for new ways to use their existing IT investments, the management and maintenance of deployed client technology becomes increasingly important. This approach differs from competitors that offer “solution stacks” built on proprietary technology, which can increase costs associated with IT in the long-term and forces customers to rip-and-replace existing technologies.

“Systems management is unlocking tremendous potential,” said Dell chairman and CEO Michael Dell at a recent 2010 KACE conference in San Francisco. “Customers tell us Dell KACE solutions are easy to deploy and are enabling a high return on investment—freeing up valuable resources to focus on strategic priorities. This is what a great IT solution is all about.”

“Our exploding customer base speaks for itself as we reflect on the past year with Dell,” said Rob Meinhardt, co-founder and CEO of Dell KACE. “Our systems management appliances, coupled with the Dell sales and marketing machine, has proved to be an incredible combination driving one of the highest growth rates in the industry. Dell is a player to contend with in systems management and last year’s acquisition of KACE has a lot to do with that.”

The Dell KACE family of systems management and deployment appliances fulfill the systems management needs for organizations of all sizes, from initial computer deployment to ongoing management and retirement. Dell KACE products are available as both physical and virtual appliances, directly from Dell or through its partners.
