Mobile GF4 6600 better than x700??

Wow - is the nVidia GeForce 6600 really better than the ATI x700?

I've been considering building an Asus Z70v (ATI x600) versus the old warhorse Z71v (GF 6600). The prices are currently within $20 or so. The Z70v is a pound lighter (5.6 versus 6.6 for the Z71v), but features x600 graphics. I know the Z71v's 6600 is better than the x600, but is it better than the x700?

To get the x700, you have to go up to the Z70va, which is $150 more. If the Z71v (6600) is better than the Z70va (x700), then it's no contest pricewise. I'll gladly hump the extra pound to save money AND get better graphics than the Z70va.

Any advice??

From the reviews that I've seen, the x700 is worse than the 9800 Pro in a lot of applications! Horrible horrible card!
