Sleek looks with integrated clip and easy to read OLED display
3-minute battery charge gives 1 hour record time
Record audio as CD-quality Linear PCM or MP3; wide range of playback formats
4GB built-in memory plus microSD card slot to expand storage
Capture those spur-of-the-moment thoughts without spoiling the lines of your sharpest business suit.

6.4mm thin and weighing just 50g, the ICD-TX50 is the slimmest ever voice recorder from Sony. It’s designed to impress in the boardroom or on the move, with high-gloss looks accented by an easy-to-read OLED display. For extra security, there’s an integrated clip that secures the recorder when it’s slipped into a shirt pocket.

It’s easy to capture your next big idea with the high quality on-board stereo microphone. Interviews, voice memos and more can be recorded as CD-quality Linear PCM or MP3 files. There’s a choice of five Scene Select modes – including ‘Shirt Pocket’, ‘Meeting’ and ‘Interview’ – for optimum clarity whenever your words need to be heard.

A generous 4GB of on-board storage gives plenty of room to capture the longest conference, meeting or brainstorming session. Recording time can be expanded further by slipping in an optional microSD card.

If you need to collect your thoughts fast, a three-minute top-up via USB gives power for around an hour’s recording. Fully charged, the built-in lithium ion is good for an uninterrupted 24 hours record/playback time (with MP3 files).

The ICD-TX50 also makes a handy music player while you’re on the go. Just load up with your favourite tracks and enjoy through the supplied stereo earphones or on-board speaker.

The recorder comes bundled with Sound Organiser software (PC only) that simplifies transferring, editing and managing your files. It’s also fully compatible with the latest Dragon Naturally Speaking® Speech recognition software for ‘hands-free’ transcription of your recordings.

Digital voice recorder range expands

Sony further expands its range of digital voice recorder this Spring with more new models. Ideal for capturing college lectures, the updated ICD-UX series (ICD-UX522 & ICD-UX523F) now sports even smarter looks with an angled pair of stereo microphones. The desktop-styled ICD-LX30 features large buttons, a clear display and powerful 330mW speaker to ensure your words are heard loud and clear.

The new range of digital voice recorders by Sony is available in Europe from mid-April 2012.
