Intel Core M 5Y70 Broadwell-Y Benchmark Numbers Run At IDF

Intel has officially revealed the Core M processors, the first fifth-generation Core processors that use the ‘Broadwell-Y’ microarchitecture. We’ve told you about Broadwell-Y before, but we’ve never been allowed to see detailed performance numbers, let alone run benchmarks ourselves on the reference platform. That all changed today when we were able to run benchmarks on the Llama Mountain reference tablet that was powered by the Intel Core M-5Y70 Broadwell-Y Processor!

This core m is really impressive. But as we all know this will be the Top end tablet . It may hurt apple but the lower power stuff na . But This is core m . and 4.5 watts for the performance is amazing ./ But the real deal will be Cherry trail, seeing the perfomance of core m. cherry trail should be as fast or faster than anything on the arm market has to offer . But intel has to play it smart . Rather than price Cherry trail at Apple price . Intel needs to price with NV . If intel undercuts NV k1 they can take the market and force Apple to lower pricies . I would like to see intel dump Apple . Let AMD have Apple or leave apple to its own designs . Intel is helping to feed that beast . Intel needs to get Apple away from them . Apple WILL backstab intel . Intel does not need Apple . Cherry trail will still need contra money thats bad . and broxton is a 2016 producy . Its going to be late Now Amds Arm server business . Amd needs to back out of that now . Amd can't compete with intel period . Core m is as power efficient and with 2x the perfprmance AMDS aARM business is over befor it ever started. Not only that this isn't even sky lake. The core m took me completely by surprize. @10nm I was thinking Broxton core for phi. NO way it will be core m skylake Arch and likely in the 20gflop area or higher . Core m is both an arm killer and an NV killer . AMD is all ready dead its just not been buried. RESTY in PEACE AMD.
