that is just freaking insane!

looks like one card with double sided gpu's and shared memory, plus the second card, same thing as the first, running in SLI. so it looks like two card, but quad cores.

this has to be for the upcoming AMD AM2 HTT667 Bus Dual Core using the Rev.F DDR2 integrated memory controller with a DDR2-667 system ram bus.

using these quad gpus in dual card SLI with the current 939 HTT400 Bus Rev.E6 DDR1 integrated memory controller using DDR400 system ram would be fruitless. the system platform wouldn't be able to supply the bandwidth that the 939 could allow and become the bottleneck.

soooo, new:
mobo
cpu
memory
psu

just to take advantage of this quad gpu card SLI setup.
but DAYAM! what a setup.

Aurora ALX with Quad SLI
Starting at: $6,921
*ouch*

$7,000 for a high end PC system... For that much money you can buy a brand new low end car in china or russia. Not to mention that is more than most people in a developing nation make in a year.

yeah but how many people have a credit card that will fit a $7,000 to $8,000 PC?

Most people in college start out with $500-$1500 credit limits if I recall... it has been a few years since I was in school though :(
