Fremont, CA - March 28, 2006 - Antec, Inc., the pioneering and leading global brand of high-performance computer components for the PC upgrade and Do-It-Yourself markets, has launched its first MicroBTX case. BK640B ensures optimal performance and quiet computing for today's high-powered components such as motherboards, processors and video cards.

The BTX chassis was built from the ground up to take full advantage of BTX's advanced thermal designs. It features BTX Support Retention Module (SRM), a metal plate that has been attached inside the case to support the Thermal Module and allow for better cooling and quieter operation. The case also has two optional rear 92mm fans to help keep even the hottest high performance components cool.

The case supports MicroBTX form factor motherboards with a maximum board width of 264mm. It also comes equipped with the 380W Universal Input Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) ATX12V 2.0 power supply unit (PSU). This PFC ensures high efficiency within the system. For maximum expandability, the case also provides six drive bays - two 3.5" internal, two 5.25" external and two 3.5" external. Additionally, the chassis includes several conveniently front mounted ports: two external USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire( port and audio connectors.

"As ATX reaches its thermal capabilities, BTX will continue to increase in popularity," said Scott Richards, Antec's senior vice president. "Our introduction of the BK640B exemplifies that we continuously adapt our product offerings in order to ensure we meet the computing needs of all our users."

BK640B is presently available for an estimated street price of $89.95 through major retailers, e-tailers and distributors, and is backed by Antec's Quality 3-Year Warranty. For additional product information and full technical specifications, please visit http://www.antec.com.
