Shipping my beast (in pieces)....

Post by Sovereign »

Is it worth it (based on your experiences with UPS vs. FedEx) for me to pay the extra money (~$145 vs. ~$95) for FedEx shipping from the Egg instead of UPS? Heard some horror stories about UPS...

personally - YES - it is worth the extra. UPS has no respect for packages unless you have them sent 2-day or faster. 3-day or ground are beat to hell, at least around here. I always use fed-ex when available, but that is a big price difference, so that would be a toss-up.

maybe order some from zipzoomfly, I think they still give free 2-day fedex.

Mike

NOPE - they give free ground from fed-ex, which is still better than ups :p

your choice - just my experience above.

USPS or Fedex unless i have no other choice. UPS will trash your package, claim insufficent packaging, deny your insurance request, and the vendor because they are so sick of hearing about this will do nothing to help you.

I've gotton multiple items from Newegg and UPS and have not had a problem. ZZF usually has free FedEx though.

I've had every computer part shipped UPS without any problems. The reason I don't care for Fed Ex is they won't leave it here without someone signing for it.

Sounds bad I know but nobody's ever home when they come so it's nice to not have to try and schedule my life around them.
