Clevo M575U - 17" Merom/Yonah Ready Gaming Notebook

Post by Apoptosis »

For those of you looking to build a new gaming notebook I highly suggest taking a look at the Clevo M575U 17" whitebook notebook.

Image

It currently supports Intel Yonah (Core Duo) and Merom (Core 2 Duo) mobile processors!! Merom will not be out till Q3 of 2006, but this notebook already fully supports Merom and even lists support of Intel's Core 2 Duo Processor T7200/T7400/T7600 (2.0/2.16~2.33GHz, 65nm, FSB667, 4 MB L2 cache, 478P uFC-PGA package).

For the full system specs check out this page.

The Clevo M575U will be a real multimedia powerhouse, incorporating dual-core Intel processors and the Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GTX card, the fastest single mobile graphics adaptor money can buy. The LCD display will feature a native resolution of 1,920x1,200 pixels!!!   That's higher than the high definition (HD) Holy Grail of 1080i (1,920x1,080 pixels), and higher than you get on some mainstream 24-inch TFTs. As a result, the Clevo M575U would outstanding for watching movies or gaming.

Around $1500 for one with a CDRW and $1550 for one with a DVDRW from what I can tell.

I found out that this is the same notebook model that HyperSonic uses for their Aviator CX7 Duo Gaming Notebook.
