Is it possible to create a partition within windows even though all the space on a drive is allocated for the primary boot partition?

yup, gparted live can be found here they talked about it on ep75 of DL.tv, they went into it in a little more detail in one of the later shows, ep80 I remeber correctly.

Thats exactly waht I need except its for linux and im running windows, does anyone know of a windows port of this program?

nah, its will resize any partion. see Here

its a live cd. Its lynix based and exsist in its on little world outside of the hard disk. just burn the iso to cd, boot to it and off you go.

I don't think an archive type exists that teh winrar can't open! :mrgreen:
