POSTAL : THE MOVIE

***Warning*** The movie and game talked about here are considered highly offensive to some. The game has been classified as prohibited material just like weapon's grade platonium in some countries. You've been warned.

I had the chance to write a review on the computer game: POSTAL 2 and it's expansion pack, Apocalypse Weekend. From a very very small company (full of sick-minded individuals), these guys put together a game that you're either going to be offended by, or think it's a riot. Anyways, director Uwe Boll is making a movie based on the game. Be sure it's not going to pull any punches.
Noticed Canadian comic, Dave Foley is in the movie. Use to love him in Kids in the Hall. Anyways here's a link to the movie:

yeah i deff see that not making it to the movies. LOL I never played the game for mire fact of its.....wellll.....worse than GTA

Funny, I was kind of offended by GTA, where Going Postal didn't bother me. In GTA, you're more of a 'real' character. GTA glamourizes comitting real life crimes and rewards you for doing so. In fact you have to commit crimes in GTA. In Going Postal you're not really forced to commit crimes and you can still accomplish the mission. Going Postal 2 isn't really serious, but absurb. Throwing diseased cow heads, using a severed head to play fetch with the dog, flaming urine, etc. The characters are also over the top. I would load up Going Postal and ask friends if they wanted to see something funny. With GTA, I think of that game everyday I see the 'tags' put on the Cross. (My friend had some kids pull out handguns on each other last year in front of his house.) In my opinion to show where they rank, I'd compare GTA to kiddie porn to where Going Postal would be more like Hustler's Chester the Molester comic strip. It's tasteless, insensitive and goes beyond "politically correct" boundaries, but it's not about to impact today's society.
