Im looking for opinions on 24" monitors.

Post by muell »

I just got a new 30" dell monitor at work and now my 19"crt at home seems so small so Im going to get a new 24". I think Ive narrowed it down to two choices the Gateway FPD2485W or the Dell 2407wfp. Has anyone used either of these or any other 24" widescreen that you could give me your opinion on?

The samsung 244t is an awesome monitor at that size. low 6ms response too so if your gaming not too much to worry about on the ghosting. It doesn't have that clear glossy true view screen but its a decently priced 24" lcd.
Nothing can have value without being an object of utility.

Using the Dell 2405FPW right now...I'm loving this monitor. It was a great price with great specs. It didn't disappoint me when I got it. Running DVI with an OC'd EVGA 7800GT.
Just a little puppy trying to make it in a big digital world.

I've got a 22" ViewSonic VG2230wm and it's a great monitor. Price has dropped since I got mine, it's sitting around $300 now w/ free shipping at newegg.

You can't beat Dell for monitors IMO, I have the 2007WFP and love it! Also the color is better than the Gateway too.

I was just at best buy and they had the 24" gateway and I was in no way impressed. I think Im going to get a dell. Im going to buy it through costco so if I dont like it i can easily return it locally. Thanks for all the responses.

2405FPW user here. It's the most important thing about your computer. You don't stare at your mouse, case or hard drive all day. Why not put some money on what you will be staring at?
