Turning up the Volume on Cycling Safety Combined with a Unique Listening Experience, CY-FI(TM)BLUETOOTH WIRELESS SPORTS SPEAKER Debuts at CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment 2008
SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)-- Sep. 10, 2008 Cy-Fi(TM), the world's first Bluetooth wireless sports speaker for biking, boating, camping or any activity enhanced with a portable speaker that supports almost any music-carrying device will be unveiled at CTIA Wireless 2008 today. Supporting Bluetooth-A2DP enabled cell phones, PDAs and MP3 players Cy-Fi(TM) offers everyone from cycling enthusiasts to weekend campers a unique listening experience.

Slightly larger than a deck of cards and weighing less than 4 ounces, Cy-Fi(TM)'s revolutionary design and portability makes it easy to mount on a bicycle stem or top tube, on a backpack - almost anywhere. The Bluetooth version has been designed to play music on any device that supports A2DP, the latest stereo wireless standard. Also a hands-free speakerphone, Cy-Fi(TM) allows you to receive phone calls while you listen to music. If your phone supports voice recognition, you can easily make speed dialing calls.

Cy-Fi(TM) also reduces the safety concerns associated with headphones or earbuds used in active outdoor sports like cycling, and it eliminates the inconvenience and hassle of stereo wires and cables. It also comes with a handy desktop charging stand.

Cy-Fi(TM) was invented by Los Angeles entrepreneur and cycling enthusiast Jeff Lotman, who wanted to find a safer way to bike with various music-carrying cellphone and handheld devices. Lotman determined that the solution was a small, wireless speaker that he could mount to his bike frame.

Visit and experience Cy-Fi(TM) at CTIA 2008 - Booth 843 (West Hall Moscone Center)

Interesting idea but why not have something on the bike wheel that can recharge the batteries while riding like those little headlights you can put on your bike... :-k

I bet you could hook one up pretty easily.

I never thought about having speakers on a bike, I would assume that headphones are easier.

At 4 ounces, this thing looks interesting. We are going to see if we can get our hands on one to test out. I'm still rolling with my Oakley Thump 2's and I kind of like not having everyone around me be able to listen to my music.
