Need Help!! Win7 + Games issues

Post by InspectahACE »

I need some help guys. I've exhausted everything I know that might cause it. I first noticed it on Crysis(lame I know i wanted to try it on Win7) but it's doing it to every game. Avp, Bioshock 2..it's really pissing me off lol. I reinstalled the video drivers. I uninstalled the printer since it was bloated like a blowfish. nothing's helped so far. I figure the hard drive would have died by now if it was that. Any help would be appreciated

crap my apologies...I am pretty upset about it..lol..it's it's got a horible pause for like 5-10 seconds then plays..it's random.. I do think it's the video driver though now..Counter-Strike has no issues. GTA4 has no issues..funny thing is..those are DX9 games..so far what I've had issue with are DX10-11 games(Aliens Vs Predator, Bioshock 2, Crysis)

I think I figured it out...I had the EVGA SLi enhancement patch installed..but I'm not sure that was the culprit(never liked using those anyway)..Bioshock 2 didn't pause after uninstalling it so I'm happy. Aliens vs Predator on the other hand..well, if you don't have a DX11 card, i wouldn't try playing it in DX11 mode yet. looks beautiful and runs beautiful, but pauses like crazy. Ran it in DX9 and all was hunky-dory fine. now I know i need to upgrade a thing or two lol

I was about to say that it sounded like an SLI problem. Glad you got it figured out.
