'Spore' - could possibly be the best video game ever

Post by zachig »

The next game from the creator of The Sims will let you start your life in a raindrop and end up conquering entire worlds.

Gamespot have already published their Spore E3 2005 Impressions back on May, 18, 2005.

Now, Will Wright is talking at the Game Developer's Conference about 'Spore', which looks like it could possibly be the best video game ever. WATCH THE VIDEO!!!

I personally think that the video is a bit long (35:47), but kind of interesting. This game looks really promising!!! :D

I bet it'll consume countless hours of my life.

holy long demo

but, yeah, very interesting. i thought it'd be a little bit more like an evolutionary kind of game than it is, but it still looks pretty damn fun :)

it was awesome when he tried dropping the little guy on that moon.

I saw that on another site and I really hope it's as good as it looks. That game looks like a bunch of fun and even more abilities.

i think what i liked most was the bit where you hit up other peoples' planets and you can go looking for intelligent life throughout the galaxy. that was pretty damn slick.

actually you might want to check out Crysis if you havent heard of it

http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3147944

it has a whole new real engine that 100000% amazing!! leaves and bush move around instead of you going through them, better than hl2 anything physics engine, etc..

I've just found out that 'Spore' will be probably out somewhere on Q4 2006. So..I guess there's still a lot of time for us to wait till this game will be out.

But again, this one really worthing waiting for. :)

Graphics don't make the game IMO. If the game play is there, then kick ass, but if its just another FPS with decked out graphics, Ill yawn and move on.

Hell if I could just get Gunship 2000 working on XP I would be in heaven...

TRUE, look at doom 3

But you are right, in order to get stuff working like it is in the video you would have to have a nasa computer. LOL

i feel differently.... typically, the better the graphics are in a game, the more fun i have playing it. if the graphics blow, it gets boring.

Farcry has some of the best gamepay and storyline of a FPS. I highly recomend it.
