VisionTek Radeon X1300 256MB PCI

Post by bubba »

No I didn't forget the E in PCI LOL

If you have a really old PC or a new stripped down dell with no AGP port yet need a new vid card take a look.

http://www.visiontek.com/products/cards ... 56pci.html

It cought my eye on my google start page widget for Extremetech and started looking at it due to the fact that my work uses some of the stripped down dells. this looks like it would be a better than buying a hole new machine to compensate for the lack of an AGP slot.

$130 for that card... damn

you sure it's not cheaper to upgrade your board? What is your current system?

no way would I buy this for my use, only at work where they dont want to pay for a new box, nor me to replace the mobo in a dell box due to the waranty.

we have about 30 dell machines in-house none of wich have one AGP or PCI-e port in them, 4 of those they want to upgrade the video but dont want to buy a whole new box like they did for the engineering group.
