Antec??
Antec??
So I am now checking on Power supplies to get and I read a review on NewEgg that antec had changed where they purchased some of their capaciters thus making their PSU no longer any good. Does anyone know if this is true? I was under the impression the antec was the best all around brand to get. If its not what should I get so that I don't have to get another one whenm I upgrade to SLI or somthing else?

Don't worry.....Antec are fine! They might not be the best, but they are quality power supplies that work. You shouldn't have any problems with them. Just make sure you get one with enough wattage.
FSP Group also make some very good PSU's that are cheap'ish and work very well. Both are very reliable!

Thank you. Right now I have a DFI Ultra-d which does not support SLI but I plan to go SLI in the next year or so. How much wattage should I get to make fairly sure my PSU won't need upgrading when I go SLI?? 500W?

Depends on what GFX / CPU your going to go with! 500W should be your min!Merlin wrote:Thank you. Right now I have a DFI Ultra-d which does not support SLI but I plan to go SLI in the next year or so. How much wattage should I get to make fairly sure my PSU won't need upgrading when I go SLI?? 500W?
You should always get a bit more Wattage than required because a PSU becomes less efficient over time! A 500W should be fine unless your thinking of getting two 8800GTX cards
What do you think of these choices?
