Compatibility Crossfire with Nvidia680i?

Post by ffukuda »

Hi

This could be a stupid question but anybody knows if the new nvidia chipset N680i is compatible with crossfire cards?

Thanks

I doubt it, well without modified drivers. You can run crossfire on so many Intel Boards, there really is no reason. Other than the high memory clocks you can get on the NForce Boards

Welcome to the forums... The 680I works great with a single ATI card, but official support for Crossfire witll never happen since it's an NVIDIA chipset.

By the way make sure you have a USB mouse as a PS2 mouse won't work right on the reference 680i board.

Thanks..... I looking for a better board for Core 2 Duo than P5WDH - DELUXE, just to have an option and compare the prices. As you can read, I am a brazilian guy that writes a poor english.

Thanks anyway

The rumor has it the DFI RD600 motherboard is shipping next week. This should be the best platform for CrossFire and Core 2 Duo to date.
