I voted DS9 as my favorite ST show. It's mainly because of the characters such as Cpt. Sisko (not Cisco), Odo, Quark, etc. and how they evolve throughout the series. I am also a fan of some of the extended storylines such as the Domininon War. My 2nd fav series is TNG, then Voyager, Enterprise, and TOS. I'm don't really like TOS but just because I only started watching Star Trek with TNG.

I voted Enterprise, seemingly an unpopular choice, but both my g-friend and I love it. and btw, Nuxil1, I think the one about the academy days is going to be the movie. There's more info on Star Trek's official website

"Do, or do not. There is no try."
Jedi Master Yoda.
Jedi Master Yoda.
I can't believe someone resuscitated this thread...I finished Voyager, realized that BT doesn't work behind college firewalls and now am wondering what to do in the time I used to use watching it...

The Next Generation was a surprise for me. Ot was the first attempt at a new Star Trek series and I thought for sure it was going to suck...it didn't. In fact, I thought it was better than the first in many ways. I think that's what made it the best. After that, you just expected a certain quality in the following shows.
I was a lot more in to Star Wars growing up though. Call me a geek but I consider myself fortunate that that saga happened during my lifetime.

the next generation of course. the first series is somewhat naive and ridiculous at times. whatever came after couldn't beat the "next generation"

The original was, well, the original! Not to show my age but it was VERY early in reruns when I was a kid.
TNG was pretty good...
DS9 was well written but a little boring at times
Voyager was pretty good but janeway grated on me at times
The movies were all pretty good although a couple were kinda corny (save the whales and all)
The big suprise for me was Enterprise. When I heard Scott Bakula was going to play Archer I said to myself "What!? the quantum Leap guy! oh no this is gonna' suck!". Of course maintaining historical and technological equilibrium (e.g. communicator and tri-corder sizez, knobs, rocker switches and valv covers vs. LCD touch screens) with the original was difficult, if not impossible.
Although I know the franchise was getting a little long in the tooth I was pretty dissapointed when they canceled Enterprise.
I also will sorely miss SG1... (and "Space, Above and Beyond")
