lol and if you press home it keeps you on the old site. That's odd. Too bad the links to the rest of the ti4200 review didnt' work, only the front page of it.

To bad I can't get http://www.systemcooling.com to work with the way-back-machine. There are some good technical reviews that Lee "RoboTech" Garbutt did that are very valuable.

And I still have that case!

Brings back memories of when the site first started...

Good times indeed. In 2003, a relative's yahoo websearch on my family's genealogy stumbled on my name, address and SSN hosted by a local college.

Turns out it was my old employer, specifically one of the hiring managers /sysadmins who had negligently kept the information since at least 1999 (the last year of my student employment) and hosted the whole shebang with read permissions along with the rest of his site. Sprinkle in an incomplete or lack of robots.txt and yahoo crawls/indexes it. He was a great boss too, what a huge disappointment.

(Un)Fortunately for me I had already gone through a fraud alert on my credit history thanks to an old roommate's wonderful guests and no additional fraud has been attributed to this informations now constant existence online.

It's just the SSN, yeap I know most major fraud requires mothers maiden name, yadda yadda yadda. It's still a huge piece of the puzzle and it's commonly used as sole identifier in too many places. Yes, you can still pull it up today on the latest flavor of internet archive sites.

edit: The bum that got busted for wire/credit card fraud using some of my credit info is a convicted felon and probably has a hard time finding work, oops I mean he is a felon but gets to wait tables at TGI Fridays and handle your credit cards! America, Fu&k Yeah!
