i was just wondering if a p4 cpu would work with a Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus Socket 775 nVidia 650i SLI

Depends what socket the P4 is. If its a P4 775 socket, then yeah.

Core 2 Duo q6X00
Core 2 Duo E4X00
Core 2 Duo E6XX0
