How about Apple? :P

An interesting tidbit for you... HP handles the microsoft compatible Ipods... I contacted apple with the problem and they said, we didnt make your product, ask HP to fix it.

Never buy an Ipod, apple doesnt care if you get a defected product.

I've got a 4 gig Zen (one of the little ones), and it's an awesome little guy. Big enough for my needs, although I will upgrade in time.

I even once dropped it in oily sludge, and after a week, it started working again!

I hope the Creative Zen works out for you and Beaker.

I just bought my other half a Creative Zen V with a 2 GB memory and it is has many more features than the iPod Shuffle at the same price.

Hopefully the higher end Zen will be a blessing for you.

Have fun with your Creative Zen!

I would have recommended the 80GB iPod, my cousin has one and it rocks!

I think you need to look at Cowon before you do anything. They have a huge selection of players. I've got the A2 and U3. The A2 is a PMP that plays almost every codec known. There is also the D2 (which has a touchscreen) and upcoming A3. The A2 has an incredible screen that rivals anything mentioned above.

No need to run any software as all of these are just plug-in-and-copy-your-files-and-go. I've actually just installed some of their software since they do a really good job of converting video and automatically uploading for each player.

My $0.02.

Hey Digital Puppy, that thing looks slick! I've looked at the site and i'm unable to figure out if it has built in harddrive space or if its limited to the 2Gb or 4Gb memory sticks?

Are you talking about the A2? It comes in either 20gig or 30gig. A2 Tech Specs are here.

The D2 has either 2gig or 4gig of built in memory, but can use SD sticks. D2 Tech Specs are here. Obviously, the big thing on the D2 is the touch screen.

The A2 specs are the same as the Vision, but the vision is cheaper, has a nice 80$ rebate

Ohh...if it's cheaper then that would make me think. I'm loving my Cowon though...besides being able to play absolutely everything I throw at it, one of the best things is the ability to record from video and audio sources...I heard a mix on the radio that I was diggin, and hit the 'rec' button and was playing back the mp3 on it all weekend.

(just finished playing a 720x576 29.97/1374kbps DivX'd AVI file of Pirates 3 trailer ... I love my little A2! 8) )

I haven't forgotten about you guys, this player is really nice, and has a ton of features. Have used it for about a week and half, and there still is a ton of features I didn't even know existed. Look for a review soon.
