don't like it, unplug your internet connection or go to Linux. You agreed to the EULA, MS can do what they want

Just thought it was funny that they were having problems with repair installs on the same operating system with genuine copies.

dgood,
You did good!
That article is worth gold for knowledge. Thanks for the important link. I've searched the EFF and nothing of this matter has appreared on their radar.
It looks like a few good system detectives are out there to place a light on this dark deed by the Vole.
Spybot Search & Destroy usually alerts me when the registry is being changed if that option is turned on. However, this neat program called TinyWatcher from the article is very handy too.
I would ask everyone to really read the article and the others the article links to.
If anyone's WinXP is at 7.0.600.381, then you have been stealth hit by the Vole.

That's bad case law and grey are. I keep bugging my legislators to ban EULAs and go to the same system as books. If I own a book, I can do what I want to it. I can cut the pages out and paste them in any order I want, I can sell the book off, I can burn the book etc. etc.don't like it, unplug your internet connection or go to Linux.
