new folding rig

Post by martini161 »

well after a few years of working and folding on a p4 laptop with integrated graphics and 512mb of ram, i decided it was time to step up, and now that all but one part of my new rig is here, i might as well post some specs so you can know what your up against. he should be folding by christmas at the latest

core 2 quad q6600 liquid cooled
4 gigs of ddr2 800 ocz ram at 5-4-4-12
8800 gt 512 mb
abit 680i mobo
250 gig 7200 rpm hdd
thermaltake armor case (the one with the 25cm side fan)
thermaltake toughpower 850w mod psu
soud blaster live sound card
dvd burner and logitech speakers and an old 15'' gateway moniter
dual boot xp home and vista home premeum 64 bit

once i get to overclocking ill post those specs too
and btw this was a $1500 build so i think i did pretty good for my self

That's great news! Another power machine added to the folding team. :)

You'll pass me in the team ratings sooner with a machine like that. =D>

The machine will help greatly to improve LR standings too. It would be nice to see LR in the top 100.

Keep up the good work. :supz:

it should be folding just about 24/7 except for the first few days. i need to run it through the cycles to get the as5 to set well. and when im playing Call of duty 4 it might not be folding but i wont be playing games all to much
